How can fans save Warrior Nun and The Wheel of Time from cancellation?

So, this is a thing. I do a lot of SaveWOT things. Who do I talk to about possibly collaborating with the SaveWarriorNun peeps? Because I KNOW a combined movement with SaveWOT and SaveWarriorNun would really do numbers for attention for both movements!

All right, so time for UPDATES:

1. Made the proposal on the SaveWOT Discord and on Bluesky of uniting forces to make both movements louder, and it seems a bunch of people agreed. What’s the megafandom going to look like, you may ask?
2. Primarily, we’ll be focusing on familiarizing ourselves with each other’s show. Warrior Nun S1 will go first on Saturday, and Wheel of Time S1 will go on Sunday. The plan is to give everyone a full week to watch a new season of a new show for them. The schedule (that I was thinking of) looks like this:
   
   Warrior Nun S1 (Netflix), Oct. 4
   Wheel of Time S1 (Prime, also available to buy on Apple), Oct. 5
   Warrior Nun S2 (Netflix), Oct. 11
   Wheel of Time S2 (Prime, also available to buy on Apple), Oct. 12
   Wheel of Time S3 (Prime only), Oct. 18

• you can write postcards to Netflix for both shows (savewot.com has the address for Netflix’s LA HQ, though Jinny’s been promoted to U.S.-Canada Scripted Series since the SaveWOT website was made, with no replacement for her previous position, so I’d try writing to Bela Bajaria, Chief Content Officer, as she heads all of the shows, both the U.S.-Canada projects and global projects).
• you can like and repost posts from both fandoms (just be sure to share them with their #savexyz hashtags and please credit who made the thing, if possible).
• you can help fyc campaigns for the shows and cast and crew (like right about now, Nikhil Koparkar and Rammy Park, composer and lyricist of WoT’s “The Hills of Tanchico”, which is a BOP, is currently under consideration for a Grammy - and after Amazon utterly biffed at getting the show, the costumes [WE WANTED YOU TO WIN, TOO, SHARON!], and the music, we’re hoping that getting the Grammy nom will be a nice thing that we can do).
• Make some fanart or fanfic for the other show (like I have an image of Bea and Ava dressed in ajah colors [I feel Bea would be in the Brown Ajah or the Blue Ajah, and Ava would be a Green or Blue], and the Avilayne category on AO3 could always use more fanfics).

But yeah. Let’s have fun and support each other, as we’re dealing with stories that mean something to each other. If you have any other suggestions for things we could do together, comment below!

So, we were thinking about Halloween and costume parties and WOT-ifying them, when finally, the ideas made themselves apparent:

🎃 We’ll next be having our
Darkfriend Social on Halloween! 🎃

Participants will be asked to dress up their work in their own alternative universe (known from here on out as an AU).

We have two wheels for you to spin:

• The Wheel of AUs to let fate decides which AU you’ll have to play with,
• The Wheel of Names with characters from the show to add in your AU.

You can spin both, or just one, or none and pick an AU and/or characters of your choice, what matters it to have fun 👻

For the unartistic types, make proposals of what AU stories you’d make if you had time/were artistic/whatever. You never know. You might be treated to an artistic rendition of your proposed AU during the Darkfriend Social SOMEWHERE DOWN THE LINE. ARTISTS, TAKE NOTE.

All the finished art pieces/proposals will be due on Halloween/the Darkfriend Social. The13thdepository will make a masterlist after.

They were cramping so badly that her legs were bent backwards on themselves. That’s why they call it breakbone fever. Usually before the person dies, they snap their own legs and arms in half. The Old Wisdom, she, um… she didn’t know what to do. So she started making a tea to ease her passing. But I couldn’t. So I took Egwene’s hands, and she held on so tight. WoT Weaveweek: Music Monday

So, the song from the books that I most wish we’d gotten to see on-screen would have most likely come in s4 – Jak O’ the Shadows. Probably a popular wish for book fans!

I feel like the show really could have made it a character-defining thing for Mat, to showcase him (the way that Hills of Tanchico gave us a great snapshot into College Spring Break Elayne, lol), and, of course, to let us hear Dónal Finn sing!

I feel like they could have given it either more of a ‘soldiers’ chant’ vibe or more of a mournful hymn (like Pippin’s song in Return of the King) or a rousing “hey we just survived” vibe. Lots of options!

I would have really adored hearing what the show did with it and what kind of vibe they would have gone with. What tune goes with the words could have really made a difference in the impression that viewers had of what the song meant (and the different varieties that we might have gotten for different occasions!).

Mat really is a character that would have had such a chance to shine in s4, because we likely would have gotten the formation of the Band of the Red Hand, and gotten to see the impact of whatever the 'Finn did to his mind in this version of the show.

Favorite song: The very first question and it’s already so hard! I cannot give just one answer!

So some of my favourites:

• Rand’s theme, especially The Old Tongue lyrics, I am crazy about this one

• Mat’s theme, because I always expected his theme to have a mischievous sound, I did not expect it to be emotional and that really hit me and it’s perfect

• Elaida’s theme. Never did I think anything about Elaida will be my favourite, haha, but this soundtrack is so insaaaane

• We all love The Hills of Tanchico obviously, but have you heard the other Tanchico soundtrack song? It is crazy!

As for a song from a book that should become a banger on the level of The Hills of Tanchico, I think there is no doubt there: Jack o'the Shadows!!! This song alone is enough of a reason to Save Wot!
